An-Nadaa Educational Foundation is the first government certified Muslim organization on the ground to make a change for the poor and needy Muslims in Nigeria, actively involved in launching and managing educational, da’wah and welfare projects across underprivileged communities in Nigeria.
Allah mentions in Surah Nur:
فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ
“[Such niches are] in Masajid which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein; exalting Him within them in the morning and the evenings.”
An-Nadaa Educational Foundation is building Masajid in villages across Zaria state in Nigeria to open avenues for the local public to learn Islam and experience the bond of brotherhood established by a masjid. Masjid Kudan, like Masjid Aisha built previously, is one such masjid being built in a village which has had no access to any masjid. People usually congregate under the open skies or under the shade of trees to pray.
Benefits of Masjid Kudan
A major benefit of this Masjid would be that it would be the first Ahlus Sunnah Masjid in a Shia majority area where the Sunni population is plagued with doubts and major misconceptions with regards to the true essence of Islam because of Shia propaganda. This Masjid would be a beacon for the people to learn the authentic teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. For every good and authentic practice that the people learn about, our donors will share in the reward for helping to facilitate it.
In Nigeria almost 80% of the population earn less than $2 a day and over 40% of children do not have access to primary education. Masjid Kudan will be helping the local community by providing:
- – Basic Primary Education for Children
- – Basic Classes to teach Foundational Islamic Studies
- – Halaqat (Circles of Knowledge) after every Prayer
- – Masjid Kudan would create a safe space for women to learn Islam.
- – Financial Aid
- – Food Distribution
The building of a masjid is a way for a person to continue to earn a multitude of blessings even after death. How?
Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Muslim].
”The Masajid of Allah shall be maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, perform As-Salat (Iqamat –as-Salat), and give Zakat and fear none but Allah. It is they who are on true guidance.”
[Surah At-Taubah, 18]
By helping establish this Masjid, our donors have the unique opportunity for being of the very first people to help their Muslim brothers and sisters directly on the ground in Nigeria. For every prostration and beneficial knowledge gained by the people, the donors of the Masjid get an equivalent reward.
It’s not just about the quantity of the donation. The main aim is the quality of our donations and being a part of establishing a House of Allah.
