Haris is currently enrolled and attending Form Two in Sekolah Menengah Agama Al-Irsyad, Balok situated in Kuantan which is a non-boarding school. He is 16 years old and was born in Myanmar.
Haris ranked 8 in his class of 38 students during 2018 End-of-year (Form 1) examination.
Haris is very good in his academics and also excels in co-curricular activities. Initially Haris was staying with his family in Seremban. He attended the school in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Unfortunately, he had to leave the school as he was considered to be over the age limit.
He was sent to stay with his uncle in Kuantan so that he can continue his education. With good SPSR results and a very strong recommendation by the school, Haris was accepted to register at Sek Men Agama al-Irsyad near Kuantan. It is a private school run by local NGO that offers integrated education (religious studies and academics).
He excelled in both religious studies as well as academics, during his first year (Form One) in 2018. Irsyad is not a boarding school. Every day he leaves his uncle’s home very early in the morning as he needs to cycle to school which is about 20 km away. This shows serious determination and a thirst for education from Haris.
Haris’s father is the sole breadwinner as a labourer while his mother is a housewife. Haris wants to study as much as he can and become a great scientist who helps the people. His family’s financial condition is in such a bad condition that his father can afford to pay only 40% of Haris’s fees.
