The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.
He ﷺ further emphasized said, “Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother.” [Muslim].
Palestinian and Syrian refugees have become a symbol of human suffering in the twenty-first century. They have been subject to severe and bitter tragedies that now leave them in hunger and deprivation. Refugee communities suffer from the loss of shelter, food, water and medicine, and many succumb to the extreme cold winter resulting in the loss of lives. Children are most affected as their frail bodies struggle to fight the cold.
In 2016, approximately 12 million Syrians fled their homes, with 1.5 million settled in Lebanon. The actual figures of refugees who have settled in neighbouring countries is potentially much higher since the majority of refugees do not register in formal camps. Thousands of refugees reside in unofficial camps throughout the neighbouring countries such as Lebanon and Turkey which are severely lacking in resources and infrastructure.
As winter looms in the near future, many women and children in “Al-Mobadarh” (Turkey) orphanage face harsh cold after the government cancelled the decision for coal heating system because of its side effects.
This program aims to provide relief by providing a warm, clean, healthy and safe environment by installing a gas-based heating system help our brothers and sisters who are stuck in the harsh winter conditions. These are young children who have been orphaned because of the tragedies of war need all the help and support that that they can get from us for they are as good as our own children.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The Muslims are like a single man. If the eye is afflicted, then the whole body is afflicted. If the head is afflicted, then the whole body is afflicted.” [Muslim]

After meetings with CSM, an organisation focusing on providing medical relief, sustainable health-related development and risk reduction activities for vulnerable communities, Global Sadaqah has partnered with them to raise funds to help Syrian refugees battling winter.
This campaign supports partial funding and the partners on the ground will receive all the money raised regardless if it reaches the goal or not.
